Hello everyone!!

My name is Adora Luebberke and I am ecstatic to be a representative of the Haines Stampede this year!

I'm 16 and enjoy hanging out with my friends and riding with my sister Addie.  Haines Stampede is the second rodeo I have represented. I was the 2008 Princess and the 2009 Queen of the Hell's Canyon Jr. Rodeo.

I learned to ride right here in Haines and have always wanted to be a part of the Stampede.  I wouldn't be here if it weren't for my wonderful horse, Becky.  Becky is a 14 year old Quarter House I have had for 8 years.  Becky is the most wonderful horse any girl could ever ask for.  She has carried me through 2 years of Rodeo Court and I believe she is as ready as I am to do it again!

There are so many people I would like to thank.  First, my mom, Tera.  If it weren't for all her hard work I wouldn't be the person I am today. I'd like to thank my step-dad Dale for being there for me no matter what.  Thank you to the Stampede board for this opportunity.  I am excited to share the year with my fellow representative Stephanie, this year will be great!  Finally, thanks to the communities of Halfway and Haines, OR for there support.

NOW-------Let's get this party started!!!

Hello Rodeo Fans!

I can't believe I made it!!  I am so thrilled to have the opportunity to serve on the Haines Stampede Court this year.  My name is Stephanie Greenhalgh and I am 14.

I was raised with horses.  My first horse was a minnie named Timer.  I drove and showed him with my Grandma Margaret. Then there was pretty, copper Penny.  She was a Quarter/Pony and the moment I sat on her I looked at my mom and said, " I want her!".  Penny was great and continues to be.  My dad taught me everything I know about rodeo and I fell in love with it.  I have rodeod around the Northwest with the NWYRA.  I loved it!  Every time I hear, "Life is a Highway" by Chris LeDoux I think of heading down the road and my first event.  We weren't really fast at the barrels but I knew in my heart no one was as happy as me!

My legs grew to be as long as Penny was tall so we began looking for a replacement not realizing she was right under our noses.  Lacy was my Dad's old reining mare and rope horse.  She had an accident and was pretty bucky after that but Dad worked it out with her.  Our first rodeo was St. Paul and Dad was so nervous she'd get loose.  It's funny now as Lacy and I have a strong bond that is very hard to explain.  The day Dad gave me her papers was the best day of my life!!

I can't wait to get this rodeo season started!  Adora and I get along great and together we will be excellent representatives of the community of Haines and the Haines Stampede!
